Need a hand with Weather Ahead?
Help with calendar selection, weather, appearance and privacy.
Feature availability
Clear Cached Data and in-app policy pages are available in version 1.0.2 and later. Home Screen widgets are available in version 1.0.3 and later. If a control is missing, check the App Store for updates. Do not delete the app as a first troubleshooting step: doing so removes its local preferences and data.
Home Screen widgets
Open Weather Ahead and let your calendar places load, then add Forecast First, Side by Side or Timeline Card from the Home Screen widget gallery. Touch and hold a widget and choose Edit Widget to select Natural, Illustrated, Pixel or Cyberpunk.
The arrow browses the first three available places in your timeline, which can include multiple places on the same day. Page dots indicate the selected place, and circular arrows return to the first. Tap the widget body to open that place’s weather details.
Widgets show up to six available forecast hours. Open the app regularly to refresh shared places; they expire after 24 hours. If hourly weather is unavailable, check your connection and open the app to refresh. Current-location weather uses the last place resolved while the app was open and does not request background location.
Contact
Email [email protected] for help with Weather Ahead, privacy questions, accessibility feedback or security concerns. Include your app version, iOS version, device model and the steps that caused the problem. Do not send passwords, signing keys, personal calendar exports or unredacted logs.
Calendars and permissions
Weather Ahead needs iOS Full Access to read calendar events, then filters queries to the calendars you select. Choose All calendars or Selected calendars in Settings → Calendars. If no calendars are selected, no calendar events are read. Current-location weather is optional.
If a calendar disappears or you re-add an account, check your selection again. You can change permissions through Settings → Permissions → Open System Settings.
Missing weather
Events need a location to appear in the timeline. Check your internet connection and try again. Detailed forecasts cover approximately ten days including today; later trips show seasonal climate averages, not a forecast. Apple services can be temporarily unavailable.
Clear saved weather and resolved places through Settings → Clear Cached Data if you want the app to fetch them again. This does not modify your calendar events.
Styles and icons
Choose Natural, Illustrated, Pixel or Cyberpunk in Settings → Weather Style. Settings → App Icon offers the default icon and four matching alternatives. Icon choice and weather style are independent. The Home Screen chooses light or dark artwork according to the system’s icon appearance setting.
Privacy and safe reporting
Use the Privacy Policy inside Settings to review storage, permissions and Apple services. Before sending a screenshot, hide event titles, calendar names, addresses and other personal details. Describe a reproducible example with fictional events whenever possible.
Privacy and terms
What the app does with your data is set out in full on the Privacy Policy. The terms you are using it under are on the Terms of Use page.
Refunds
Purchases and refunds are handled entirely by Apple, not here. Request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple Account you bought with.
